I never particularly cared about them. [He has no real stakes in this game because he'll either go back to Sumeru to ego death or go back to Hell and eventually be wiped out of existence by Wednesday Addams anyway.]

My own goals just happened to align, and beyond that, I dislike hypocrites who waste time talking about how much they don't want to do the difficult things, or how no one should, even if not doing so will cost them their precious victories. [Scaramouche like "when you leave this place a winner you will have ME TO THANK AT LEAST IN PART and that will drive so many of you insane lol".]
