Sure. I'm not picky, I'll eat anything. Meat and rice is what I ate the most when I was a kid, though, but it's a lot easier to hunt down animals than it is to hunt down veggies.

Is it? This must be a difference of worlds or maybe a difference of upbringing. Meat is more expensive to bring to the table where I'm from, but I'm from a family that doesn't have to worry about expenses.

Difference in local wildlife, actually. Buying meat would've been more expensive, but I lived in a forest with a lot of massive animals and I was a pretty tough kid.

Something along those lines. My father had ten wives, so it wasn't anything to him to disown one of his children for not meeting expectations.

Isn't there something you guys can do? You can't do anything about the fact he sired you, but that doesn't mean you should have to listen to him.

Of course there are those that resent him, but there are others who don't care enough to do anything about it, too.

He's still the head of one of the ruling families. The power imbalance is in his favor.
