[GOD. He looks like he's about to open his mouth and say something else, but no dice! A transparent bubble has successfully bullied them by appearing from behind to ruin their days. Kashuu, who has dealt with this once or twice already, immediately and reflexively pulls away from the side of the bubble.
Unfortunately, it's not in time to keep it from coming into contact with him. Roxana will find herself taking a look into something.]
[ Death shakes her and unsettles her, no matter what form. There may be a time when she is ready to die, but it is not now, not with Kashuu and not with his memory.
To shatter into pieces, as someone you trusted to hold falters. The mindscape of a sword is both illuminating and different but not so much, not so unrelatable to her own life in some ways.
She takes a deep steadying breath before she looks over at Kashuu, waiting to see what he chooses to do after such a deeply personal memory. ]
[He dies over and over in his dreams anyway, so it's not like this place is able to bring him anything that his mind doesn't already, in this case.
It's what allows him to keep his composure, relatively speaking, as the edges of the memory fade out. His eye close for just a moment; he takes a breath in and lets it back out again.]
...Geez. This place really won't let a guy rest.
[There's so much sword breaking going on in his life lately that he has half a mind to just glue Yasusada to him.]
He turns that sentence over in his mind for a moment, though. It's kind of funny - he's said the same thing to so many others, but in this context, from Roxana, it has a different meaning.]
...Yeah. I'm really glad that I got to meet you like this, too. It's one of the things I'm glad about - um, for having this body. Also for this stupid place, I guess.
[There's a lot of misery in this shitty prism!! But he won't let it erase the good parts, few and far between though they may be.]
[You know what, he digs the vibes of this and immediately agrees with her point. He'll be a little not nice, too.]
...Then - I'll also thank you. I don't really wanna thank anything about this place, even if the residents are right about the prism and all. But I'm really glad that I met you.
You have finally pulled off a plan that has been in the making for months. You have freed the son of your father's greatest enemy from the prison of your family's home. You have revealed enough of the cards up your sleeves that it should be fine. Your father won't suspect a thing.
You are alone now, and you can longer ignore the pain. Your insides are on fire, poison surging through your veins, and you know you have overtaxed yourself.
The price to pay for your butterflies is lofty, but it is worth it.
Even as you cough up blood and struggle to stay upright, you know you wouldn't have chosen differently.
That sure is a lot, though. As a sword, Kashuu doesn't really have the same drive to survive as humans do, even if he isn't out here wanting to die about it either. The will to do so much to keep going with that level of ferocity is, as such, somewhat foreign to him, even though he's seen it in plenty of humans in his time.
As the memory blinks away along with the remnants of the bubble and its colors, he finds himself feeling a little off-balance. Maybe it's the memory of the pain, or of seeing a plan through like this.]
--Is... asking questions okay?
[Obviously she doesn't have to answer, but of course he's the type of person who wouldn't even ask in the first place if she didn't want to deal with that much.]
[DISCONCERTING but it's enough of one for him, honestly.]
Good. [Some people around these parts are turning out to NOT BE (alive), so that truly is good news.] ...You're gonna be okay, right? Even with those weird butterflies or whatever?
[Good thing this isn't emotion share week because his vibes are like ???? right now. It makes it better as far as he's concerned! Sword logic. As for the rest of that:]
Yeah. Sucks that it isn't... I don't think I've seen a peaceful era last more than a couple hundred years.

Just in case anything like this happens again...

... No, I suppose not. It's cruel, really.
[ She tries to shake the feeling of what it means to break from her mind. ]
... I'm glad I can meet you like this, Kiyomitsu.

I don't promise to answer every one.
[ So he's free to ask, but this week should hint, if not emblazon, just how cagey she is. ]

--Was that an old memory, or a new one?

[ however old or new 3 years is. ]

[That plan she had, that she'd risked so much for.]

Good. [Some people around these parts are turning out to NOT BE (alive), so that truly is good news.] ...You're gonna be okay, right? Even with those weird butterflies or whatever?

[ Roxana is a survivalist. She wants to survive, unlike 75% of the characters I play. ]
no subject
Mm... Okay. [A little nod! He takes her at her word.] And you're not in danger now or anything?
no subject
At home, I'm not in any danger. Here, I'm in as much danger as you are.
no subject
...Yeah. That part aside, I mean. [They're all in DANGER.] It's good that it's not like that at home, though.
no subject
I feel as if you are in more danger than I am in our respective homes.
no subject
[Not really, he thinks. He could get his wholeass head blown off and he'd probably be fine. The danger is relative!]
...It'd be nice if everyone coulda come from a peaceful era, though.
no subject
[ The danger is not relative like that, you stupid sword. ]
If only fate would be so kind.
no subject
Yeah. Sucks that it isn't... I don't think I've seen a peaceful era last more than a couple hundred years.
no subject
That's still a long time to those with a finite lifespan.
[ but she is only 19 to his 500+. ]
People will find a reason for conflict.
