It's been an escalation of events all week.

[ From the pizza party to the cyoas.... now actual death (murder). ]

That's how I'm interpreting it.

But the why is still a total mystery. Why did it even start acting up in the first place? How much of us actually affects the prism? And after yesterday, I gotta wonder if there's anything here besides the prism.

If we could affect the prism as much as they say, we'd be able to stop this. If it molds to our expectations, even if we expected the other shoe to drop, we also expect to not have to suffer.

[ It goes both ways in her mind. ]

You think what happened yesterday was from another force outside the prism?

Yeah - there's no way any of us would've wanted something like this, or even thought about it happening like this, y'know?

[He's in agreement - that putting the onus entirely on them for shaping the prism is pretty ridiculous. As for that, after a thoughtful pause:]

I dunno. Maybe not... But if it could talk to us the whole time, why'd it only talk then, to those guys? It's kind of a weird thing to say, too, since we all already knew the prism's been watching us.

It could be it wanted to be more clear. It could be it can only communicate to a smaller audience like that.

It could be a number of things. Has anyone talked to the residents about what happened to those who came back injured? I wonder what they think about it.
